Athira was invited for giving the inaugural concert for the week – long 74th birthday

celebrations of the honorable PRESIDENT OF INDIA, H.E. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

who praised Athira saying it as “the best birthday present he had ever received”.

The prestigious GUINESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS have recognized Athira as

a World Record holder in the music world for her 32 HOUR LONG NON-STOP

VIOLIN CONCERT, DEDICATED TO UNIVERSAL PEACE & HARMONY. The

Philosophy behind this event was to promote global peace and harmony through music.

This was also a global musical tribute to her legendary grandfather during his Death

Anniversary. This unique event was witnessed by an amazing crowd of 20,000.

ATHIRA is the First & Only Violinist in the world ever to be honored with this

L.ATHIRA had the honor of presenting a unique `WORLD MUSIC NIGHT’ incorporating music genres of more than 20 nations including African, Japanese , Chinese , Irish , Spanish ,etc for the year long Millennium Celebrations in Kazakhstan .L.ATHIRA composed and orchestrated the East –West Orchestral music for this unique thematic musical endeavor aiming at `INTEGRATION THROUGH MUSIC IN THE NEW MILLENIUM’ .This unique East – West Orchestral Concert was telecasted live in major International Television Networks .She was the youngest child prodigy on stage for this mega event!
